We’re still on the path of design construction. Everything is coming together quickly and Sevenality’s blog should be up soon. As well as the new theme for Static-Romance. I’m very excited to see these two long-term projects come to a close. I’ve been discovering new Flickr groups and have stumbled upon the Graphic Design and Typography group. I’ll share 45 beautiful examples of design and typography from this group with you!

Fuel Your Creativity has released a free and premium font resources list. I’m addicted to discovering new wonderful fonts so I found this list pretty helpful.
This list of 11 Free Web Apps for Your Daily Work introduced me to quite a few new services for my company. It’s worth checking out if you’re looking for ways to make working at home a bit easier.
The Lost Jacket wrote a hilarious list of 33 Kickass Ways to Get Your Blog Noticed. The list was informative and entertaining. I think my favorite piece of advice was using puppets. Perhaps, I should use puppets in the near future.
The Monster Collection of Moleskin Tips, Tricks, and Hacks made its way onto my browser over the weekend. I’ve been desperately lusting over Moleskine planners for the past few months. Whenever someone is nice enough to purchase an 18-month Hard Cover Large planner for me, I’ll be using this guide.
The recent passing of Director John Hughes left me feeling as if another piece of my childhood had been removed. 2009 has been a year for killing my childhood. However, a fan who became a pen pal and close friend of John posted a wonderful blog about her relationship with the director. It moved me to tears.
Gizmodo posted a well-written review on the upcoming Windows 7 OS. I’ve been following Windows 7 for a while now, and I’m excited for it’s stable release. It’s almost that time for a new laptop as well. I think I’ll invest in Windows 7 in 2010.
These are just a few links that have stood out to me in the past week. Visit my Delicious page for more of my favorite links.
Meet My Laptop
Hello everyone! It’s Friday which means another blissful weekend is upon us. You shall hear no complaints from me. It’s been a long week and I’ve been recovering from my wrist injury. It still gets pretty painful but I’m doing my best to be more ergonomically correct. Since I’ve been blogging, I can honestly say I get more questions about my laptop than I do my site. The most popular question I’ll receive (once or twice a day) is “How did you customize your desktop? Do you have a Dell?” I kid you not, people always ask me if I have a Dell. I don’t know if Dell is viewed upon being the only customizable laptop in terms of PC’s, but I always get asked if I have a Dell. I think people are even more shocked (or disgusted) that I have a Gateway. So I’ve taken this grand opportunity discuss my laptop with you.
Neela (which she is named) was delivered to me in October 2007. She’s a Gateway MT4322 with a 13″ Ultrabright Widescreen. I had no idea I was receiving a laptop until my mother came home with it. Of course, it was meant to be for “work purposes” but come on, I needed a computer of my own. Since my old Dell (have no idea what the model was. I got in December 04) had blissfully burned itself out more than four times in the first year of ownership, I had let it collect dust in my room. It didn’t help that at the time, Dell had recalled many laptops because they were exploding. My old Dell actually burned my leg!
Me browsing my site with its old Lily Allen theme back in 07. I know there’s a lot going on in the picture so bare with me! Horse? Krystal? Ketchup? WTF!
Web Design Friday: 25 Admirable Web Designs
While I prepare for the release of Sevenality’s blog, I’m continuing to honor beautiful inspiring design-work here at Static-Romance. It’s also helping me stay inspired with my own web design, which hopefully will be finished soon. Here’s thirty beautifully designed web sites that inspired me this Friday.
