Inspiration: Christian Dior S/S 09

Who says graphic design and fashion design don’t mix? For the next few months I’ll be sharing fashion inspired posts to help inspire you. The fashion world is one of the best places to look for inspiration. The colors, patterns, fabrics, photography…almost everything involved relates to graphic design one way or another. Let’s take the time out to enjoy the colors of Christian Dior’s Spring and Summer 2009 collection.

I never really paid attention to fashion like that… I’ve never noticed the connection, thanks for posting this. I really like the palettes btw.

you know, i never thought about it like that.. from the palettes you created yeah they are alike lol! I just never really was into fashion enough to notice I guess. I mean granted I am a photographer BUT I never really got into the fashion side of it, I’m more into weddings and things like that. But I mean yeah, those palettes are the cuteness ahahahaaa!! I love the Snakeskin Dunes palette :P

    Hey there :)
Nice schemes, I like how you gut them from a runway fashion show. You’re very inspiring… I’m looking forward to reading more of your blogs.

PS: would you like to be affiliates??

    hey hey,
I love the pictures you’ve put up there and the palettes.
The dresses are actually really pretty too. I usually see a lot of high fashion that [i think] looks really bad and unwearable in real life.

I love them all, but especially LOVE the Valentine’s Dior palette! The only downfall is it reminded me that I need to whip up a theme for Valentine’s Day… :blush2: Something I’ve been putting off for as long as possible!

Oddly enough, my layout that I just put up was inspired by what I wear. I think sharing to get colors from clothing is/was a good idea because you’d be surprised that what what you wear on adore on others how nice it will come across in design.

Oh and I just have to say it being a male who loves fashion: Dior is amazing :hehe:
