TGIF! I’m on day three of my juice cleanse and woke up to feeling worse than normal. So I’ve been up and about since about one this morning. However, I’m feeling slightly better on this Good Friday and ready for the weekend.  I thought I didn’t have much this week since I’ve been so busy but there’s plenty to share. Let’s get started.

Amy & John's Surprise Invitation by Saint Gertrude Design & Letterpress

So this has to be the most unique invitation idea I’ve ever seen. John and Amy surprised their loved ones with these super cool invitations. They say one thing but once the glasses are on, there’s a wedding invitation underneath! It’s super cool and done by an awesome WordPress studio. Be sure to visit For Print Only to see how awesome these are.

DIY Stenciled Bookcase Makeover - Belle Maison 23

Julie over at Belle Maison posted this gorgeous DIY stenciled bookcase.  I’m thinking of changing out the wallpaper on my bookshelf and this seems like a great alternative.

Viccolatte - Kyla is Inspired

Kyla of Kyla is Inspired introduced us to the great work of digital illustrator Viccolatte this week. This piece of hers was my favorite. Check out her attention to detail.

Heart

Orange Honey Butter Wheat Rolls

This is a roll recipe I can get behind. These honey orange wheat rolls seem like the best alternative for the inexperienced bread baker, such as myself. Not to mention they look extra yummy on day three of a juice cleanse.

Heart

05 - Raphael - Urban Bush Babe

I love reading about Raphael’s hair journey and her gorgeous photos definitely helped. Check on the back bend on this girl. How inspiring is that?

Heart

Inexpensive Minimal Gallery Wall - Melissa Esplin

Melissa shared with us a very inexpensive gallery wall project she did in her bedroom with IKEA Ribba frames.  I’ve been toying with the idea of doing a gallery wall in our bedroom and this seems like the project I can work on.

Heart

Heart Top - Delightfully Tacky

How cute is Elizabeth of  Delightfully Tacky? I was introduced to her blog this week via Pinterest. This Alaskan beauty is currently living in the Northwest and doing it fashionably.  I love everything about the outfit above, except for the fact that I could never pull it off.

Dark Blossoms by Rashi Birla

You guys should know how much I love Rashi of Bucket of Squash. Rashi is an amazing designer whose work just pleases my aesthetic tastes. It’s modern, clean, and simple. She’s opened up a print and product shop on Society6 (hello birthday presents) and I want to buy everything. The above print is my favorite and would look amazing in my living room.

Heart

Michigan Beach Cottage Staircase - Houzz

I love this yellow star stair runner. The owner of this Michigan beach cottage said goodbye to the heavy carpet on her staircase and did a great job bringing in a bright stair runner. This is such a great idea and an easy fix to your staircase. I think the flowers add the perfect touch.

Live Simply - 55his

As for posters on my wish list, I am loving this Live Simply poster by 55 Hi’s. I would love to add this in my bathroom where it would be right at home.

I hope you have a great weekend! I’ll be blogging about my juice cleanse and how it went for me.

TGIF! Am I alone in thinking this was the longest week I’ve had in a while? Monday and Tuesday flew by, but the rest of the week zombied along. I’m excited to share the inspirational posts of this week. It may not be as branding-oriented as last week’s but there are some fun fashion bloggers ahead.

I Am Pure Dietary Supplement Product Design

How fun is this packaging design for I am Pure? The lids of these tins come in various pastel colors according to each dietary supplement product. The type treatment is pretty fun as well. This one picture doesn’t do the design any justice so be sure to see a lot more posted on The Dieline.

Heart

Converted Waffle Factory - SFGirl By Bay

This is just one of a few pictures Victoria of SF Girl By Bay posted of a converted waffle factory. I love the industrial look in homes and what better way to achieve it than live in a waffle factory?

Q&A with Megan and Mike of The Fresh Exchange

Megan of The Fresh Exchange was featured on The Yellow Table this week discussing how she keeps a healthy lifestyle while working from home. Megan and her husband Mike shared some great tips on how they keep active and avoid being desk potatoes while being productive in their business. I love when my favorite bloggers get interviewed so it was a great read.

Heart

Sunshine After Rain - Bleed for Fashion

Lily of Bleed for Fashion never disappoints. I love this spring time look and adore those yellow YSL sandals. She makes fashion look so easy. I’ve been following her blog for years and I am always amazed at how well she puts her looks together.  The pattern in the peplum top is inspiring enough to get me in a design mood.

Heart

Jackie and Matt - California Engagement by Floataway Studios

I don’t care if I post way too many shoots of couples on my round-ups. How can you not love these two? Floataway Studios shot these gorgeous photos of Jackie and Matt for their engagement shoot. Jackie’s smile is extremely contagious!

Heart

Jessica Hische for More Magazine

I never tire of Jessica Hische. She did an amazing type treatment for More Magazine. You guys know how I feel about swirls.

Emotional DIY Kawaii Wedding - Talia and Zac

I could not resist posting this photo of Talia and Zac. Talia and Zac’s emotional DIY wedding made me feel all of the feels. They are an amazingly adorable couple who put in a lot of work into their wedding. I would definitely click through their gorgeous photos if you have the time.

 Heart

Pink , Black, and White Bedroom

This is my favorite of three bedrooms styled in the same room. The idea of adding in a pop of peach in a graphic black and white bedroom is extremely appealing to me.

 Heart

Bright Dining Room - April and May

Speaking of gorgeous rooms, check out this dining room with a pop of green.  The subtle addition of a  very striking color in a very subdued room is a great idea for those of us who normally shy away from color.

Heart

Ombre Dress - Karlas Closet

It’s not a fashion blogger post, if there isn’t something from Karla. Karla posted a few shots of herself in this gorgeous ombre gown. If there was a modern-day Cinderella, I believe this would be the dress her fairy godmother would have in mind for her to wear.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! This week was extremely busy for me and the weekend is looking even busier. In other news, this week was great for a lot of new conceptual branding work. I’d love to share all of them with you but I can only show a few. I hope you enjoy what I found inspirational this week!

Still Life by Kristofer Johnsson

Rachel of For The Love of Design wrote a great post regarding her reminiscing on her art school days. While I did not receive any formal art training, I did relate to the ideas of just being able to create with your hands. I did a lot of sketching prior to investing time in graphic design, so I miss those days with my drawing pencils and a sketch pad.  I also love these still life shots she shared from Kristofer Johnsson.

Heart

Green Smoothie - Piece of Cake - Peace of Mind

I’ve been incorporating a green smoothie a day into my diet so this post came right in time.  Keandra shared this great recipe for a spinach, mango, kiwi, and banana smoothie which looks delicious. I can’t wait to try this one out!

Heart

National Geographic Rebranding Project by Justin Marimon

This is only a snippet of the amazing conceptual National Geographic rebranding project by Justin Marimon. There is everything from the beginning sketches to print collateral included in this detailed project. I love that Justin didn’t stray far from the current National Geographic branding but brought it into a more modern look.

Heart

Photography by Julian Bialowas

Latrina shared some of the work of Julian Bialowas on her blog this week and I fell in love! I love this shot of San Francisco I found on his portfolio. He has such a diverse portfolio and a fun 365 Project so take time to check it out.

Heart

Dottie's Toffee Redesign

How great is this packaging redesign for Dottie’s Toffee? This sleek modern design is a huge contrast from the boutique-feel of the original product. I love the use of the dark tin for the dark chocolate and the white tin for the milk chocolate.

Heart

History Miami Site

I don’t post as many web design inspirations (I had a Web Design Friday feature prior to Links I Love back in 09!) as I did a few years ago so this is long overdue. I love the design for the History Miami site. Although it’s not responsive, the navigation is very well done. I love the layout of the images on the home page to introduce users to events around the city.  This site will be my guide for my next Miami trip for sure.

Grouper Business Cards by Mama's Sauce

Kyle Miller did an amazing job on the design of the Grouper identity. This week, local letterpress printer, Mama’s Sauce shared a few photos from their collaboration with Kyle on the printing efforts. I think letterpress was a perfect choice for the business cards and I’m loving all of the colors from the identity. I also wanted an excuse to post about my never ending love for Mama’s Sauce. I would love a letterpress project so I can have an excuse to hang out at their shop.

Heart

Business Penmanship Font

This script typeface, Business Penmanship, is gorgeous. I’m sure my husband will eventually place me on a type-budget but this is a must-have. I don’t think I have enough thin scripts in my font folder.

Heart

Kitchen Prints by Old English Co

While I continue on my never-ending quest to find the perfect set of prints for my kitchen, Paper Crave shared some gorgeous prints by Old English Company.  The Cookies Are Made of Butter and Love print is my favorite of the bunch above. You should check out their shop as they have plenty to offer.

Megan & Mike - Engagement Shoot

I may or may not be guilty of posting tons of engagement shoots here but I don’t care. This shoot of Megan and Mike shot by Nessa K Photography is adorable! Nessa did a great job of capturing their amazing body language. They are an adorable couple who seem to have lots of love to share with each other.

I do hope to get in a post during my busy weekend so stay tuned. Have a great weekend!

TGIF! I started my day out in Daytona Beach doing a very early morning favor. Now I’m back here in Orlando and working to the sound of a much-needed Friday playlist via Spotify. There was plenty to be inspired by this week so let’s get started.

Elsie's Handwritten Statement Wall - A Beautiful Mess

How great is this DIY project? Elsie of A Beautiful Mess shared her fun hand-written statement wall project. Why pay hundreds of dollars for handwritten wallpaper when you can just write it out yourself? I love the contrast of the black and white in her bedroom. Be sure to visit the blog to see more pictures.

The VEG Articles - Natalie Borton - Going Home To Roost

I love the VEG articles feature on Going Home To Roost. I enjoy reading the stories of others who have made the active decision to go vegetarian or vegan. (While I cry in the corner and attempt!) This week’s post featured the story of blogger Natalie Borton and her husband. They went from eating Whataburger to a complete vegan lifestyle. How inspirational!

Heart

Sorry Card by Sycamore Street Press

This apology card by Sycamore Street Press gave me a fit of the cough-giggles. I love the bold type and the even funnier message.

Heart

Chelsey Elizabeth Design Branding by October Ink

I adore this branding of Chelsey Elizabeth Design by October Ink. It features such a great color palette and awesome usage of key elements (literally) in the  patterns.

Heart

Engagement Shoot by Chellise Michael

This image is one of my favorites of the Chellise Michael engagement shoot posted on Rubies and Ribbon this week. The couple is super adorable. Chellise did a great job of keeping them as the focus among the hustle and bustle of New York City.

Heart

Student Spotlight Maison Chatou - Dieline

How can you not adore these geometric-inspired wine bottle designs by Maison Chatou? I like the nature theme being tied together with the botanical elements on the bottom of the glasses. I also think the type choice is great.

Heart

Easter Watercolor Moodboard - Swell Studios

Brittany of Swell-Studios shared this gorgeous Easter watercolor mood board as part of her inspiration for an Easter project for her church. As someone who has done quite a few Easter marketing promos, it’s not always easy moving past crosses, lilies, and eggs. I love the idea of watercolors being used for spring events and this is great inspiration for me!

Heart

Clean, Modern, and Classic Moodboard - Bucket of Squash

I may be on a mood board kick so I apologize! Rashi of Bucket of Squash (FYI – I really admire this girl as a designer. She makes choices that I would make in type and colors so I’m a little biased but I enjoy her aesthetic eye!) shared this mood board for a two-part website project for the same brand. She wrote a great post about her approach to what would be a difficult project for some. This is my favorite of the two featuring clean, classic, and modern with a touch of feminine whimsy.

Heart

KentLyons - Tricolette Identity - designworklife

I’m inspired by this type-focused branding for Tricolette by KentLyons. The colors they used for the branding are rich as compared to the flat pastels that I have been seeing for a lot of branding projects. I would definitely check out the post to see more of the print collateral. It’s great!

Advice for Self Taught Aspiring Designers - Betty Red Design

Nesha of Betty Red Design did a great job in her advice for aspiring self-taught designers. As I began my journey in design eight years ago, I would have loved to been able to read such great advice. There are so many great apps, tutorials, and resources available for aspiring designers today as compared to just a few years ago. Nesha did a job of thoroughly offering strong advice while adding much-needed encouragement for a tough field to break into.

I should have a post up this weekend featuring some work I’ve done this week. Have a great weekend!

TGIF! I’m sorry for the lack of post yesterday! This week has been extremely long and with this pinched nerve, everything seems to be much more strenuous. I also am very excited about all of the feedback I received from the Blogging 101 post this week. I’m so grateful that others could find the articles as helpful as I did. Let’s get to it!

Yoga: How I Find Inner Peace

I love this photo as it continues to encourage me to keep up with my yoga practice. It’s been extremely difficult but this picture captures the beauty and strength that I find in other yogis.

Seven Bathroom

How gorgeous is this bathroom that was arranged and visualized by designer Marcin Pająk? I never see too much type in bathrooms so it’s fun to see a huge marquee 7 in a different space.

Home by o street and Creative Concern

Love these typefaces from the new HOME identity  by o street and Creative Concern. Brand New featured the story of the rebranding and design. There is so much history to consider when joining two previous organizations into one. The two design agencies did an amazing job creating a new brand that captured the essence of both.

George Hill Reserved Plates

I was very inspired by the hand lettering of Georgia Hill this week. Her work on the reserved plates for The Michelberger Restaurant are fun and unique. What a great way to incorporate type into other aspects of your restaurant.

Heart

Jen Serafini Office

Eva featured the creative space of Jen Serafini this week. I adore the idea of having an eight-foot desk to share with her husband for a great use of rental space. They created the desk themselves (super cool!) and I think it flows well in her space.

Heart

 laLa Grace Business Redesign

How fun is the branding for Shayla’s brand,  laLa Grace? Shayla shared an in-depth detail breakdown of her three brands under her umbrella company, 11 Grace. I’m impartial to black and white branding but Shayla did an amazing job.

Heart

Open Sketchbook Confetti Cards

My friends have so many birthdays coming up in the next few weeks so this post was extremely time-appropriate. Paper Crave shared these fun confetti cards by Open Sketchbook. I love the black type surrounded by a range of colors.

This recipe looks amazing! I can’t wait to try this coconut curry tofu. I love incorporating easy vegan meals here at home and this looks great!

I hope you have a great weekend!
