I hate to get terribly off-topic but I started my first (well, third) “9-to-5″ corporate job yesterday and I’m excited to add (more) corporate pieces to my wardrobe. I’m pretty sure the last thing you are supposed to be doing while working is sorting out ways that you could possibly spend your money, but I can’t help it! I put together a short list of a few key items that I’m in love with at the moment. A girl can dream can’t she?
#1. Gentle Expression Tunic – Forever 21 – $19.80
#2. Merona Clutch Wallet – Target – $12.99
#3. Robust Zipper Trim Shirt – Forever 21 – $19.80
#4. Ablaze Dress – Anthropolgie – $288.00
#5. Merona Black and White Tote – Target – $29.99
#6. In-A-Moment Dress – Anthropologie – $118.00

I’m sorry for the delay of posts. I had a very busy day yesterday, one which included a ten hour trip to the emergency room. However, I am okay! I also have some good news I’ll share with you all a bit later this weekend. I hope you are all doing well. The following is a list of things from a Facebook group entitled “You Know You Went to Baptist School When..” I grew up going to Christian schools of all denominations: Catholic, Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, and just non-denominational schools. I’m sure not everyone will get this but it’s pretty funny and I had to post it here. It’s also for a good laugh, for those of you who were blessed enough not to attend a Baptist school.
-You can recite the pledge to the Christian flag & the Bible without hesitation
-You envy all Catholic school girl uniforms
-You roll your uniform skirt when you can, and avoid wearing it in public
-You usually only shave your knees cuz your shirt is long enough & your knee highs clearly cover your legs
-You break dress code as often as you can, & when you get caught you just “fix it” and then do it again the next day
-Your uniform shorts for sports teams are longer than the guys shorts
-Basketball is the primary sport

Sorry, I’m breaking from my regularly scheduled posting but today is my husband, David’s, 21st birthday! I’m so proud of him for everything he’s been doing this year. He’s productive, wonderful, caring, and pretty dorky. I think that’s a fine catch. You can hop on over to his site, HowsYourBlog and give him good wishes.
