Okay ladies and gentlemen, before I continue with the 12 Days of Christmas I’ve decided to share a few of the new year plans I have for Static-Romance. This blog has a long history and a third birthday coming up December 28! Recently, I’ve decided to go back into freelancing full-time. I’m putting a lot of work in this blog which will have much more to offer than just a blog. There is so much to be done so I’m giving a site re-launch date of: February 14, 2010. I believe Valentine’s Day was most fitting, and it’s on a Sunday! What a good way to start off the week. I can give a few hints on what will be new here at Static-Romance.Org.

I know I’ve promised this again and again, but with everything constantly changing it’s hard to get a proper schedule. However, I’ve come up with a plan to make posts more frequent!

A Brand New Look

It’s obvious the blog’s in dire need of a new face. The new theme will incorporate better UI (user interface) features and will be easier to use. It will be more modern, sophisticated, and admirable. Along with a new look, we’ll have a new tagline. I don’t really have too much free time anymore! My blog is now becoming a part of my career.

Let a new year be a year filled with fresh new faces. I’m talking about guest posting! I have been contemplating allowing guest posts for the past few months and decided it’d be a phenomenal idea. I will make a post announcing how to apply to be a guest poster soon. I love to share my blog with you.

Goodbye Old Resources & Articles

I’ve had a few Photoshop brushes available for the past three years now, and it’s time to say goodbye. On January 1, 2010, the Photoshop brushes will no longer be available for download. I will also remove a few older articles that just don’t pertain to site subject.

Hello WordPress Themes & Prints

In the midst of me wasting time, I’ve decided to continue to develop WordPress themes and share them directly here. I may do a free theme quarterly. However, there will also be premium themes available to buy. I’m also going to share/sell prints for people to use in their homes. I know typography prints have become quite popular and I want to share my design work with you.

Less About Me/More About Me

My opinion has been a large part of this blog for the past three years. However, I’m tired of hearing myself talk! I’m going to give less of my opinion and more of my inspiration in life as a newlywed designer. I know there are plenty of people who wonder who I am, what I do, where I come forth, and so on. I’m going to enjoying opening my life with you. I’ll also give some inside on what it’s like to be married to another designer/blogger.

Contests!

I know this won’t be an immediate change but there will be contests here on Static-Romance so be on the lookout for those.

These are just a few of the changes that are coming soon. I really think it’s time for a change. I started this blog when I was sixteen years-old, and next year I’ll be 20. It’s time to move on and do bigger things. It served as a great outlet for my teenage angst and underdeveloped creative skills. However, as an upcoming young adult, I want to share a blog with purpose with the world. Only two months away! I’m pretty excited. I hope you’re all excited as well.
