It’s pretty scary what people define as a relationship now adays. It’s even scarier to hear what they believe is actually sexual what is not.

However, what can I say? I’ve just turned 17 a few days ago. I’ve been with my boyfriend for over a year. And even though almost everyone who doesn’t know me really personally probably thinks that I’ve had sex a long time ago. The things is I haven’t. Just after like a month going out with him I said I wasn’t going to be ready very soon to do anything even really sexual. I told him that he had to be okay and accept that. It’s pretty freaking great, he’s always been so great and patient with me. :)

I’m so glad that Obama won too. However, like I said in my blog, I didn’t vote.

I haven’t had much luck with dating, unfortunately. I’ve had my crushes, but my problem is, fearing rejection. When I was in 8th grade, I really liked this guy, then made the mistake of writing him a letter, explaining my feelings. He came up to me, moments later, and broke my heart, saying that he couldn’t be seen with me, vice versa. Since then, I haven’t really bothered, and I just have the theory that “he will find me”.

I just think it’s ridiculous how these young kids are getting so involved being sexual at such young ages, before parents even get to have that “birds and bees” talk. My parents never talked to me about it. I just learned, and figured it all out myself, from my older cousins, and friends. I’m still a virgin, but I’ve kissed, and everything. I may be 22, but I’m not rushing it.

YES! Ohmygosh, YES!! Finally, someone who agrees with me! I'm right with you on that sex and relationships, girl! I also don't understand why you have to engage in some sexual activity when you're in a relationship. Somehow, in some unspoken way, people are required to do something sexual. And if one of them refuses to do it, he/she is dumped. Wtf. I have a bf and the thing I love about our relationship is we don't have sex. We've done it in the past but then we decided not to anymore because we don't want our relationship to be based on sex. Now I'm certain that he's in it for my love, not for my body. My sister is around your sister's age too. She just turned 15 and her friends are doing all sorts of crazy stuff already. They're like 14-16 and they've had more experience than me. Me, a 20-year-old woman. They're "girls" and one of them had kissed 8 total strangers in one night and spent another night with a guy she didn't even know. At 15, she had a pregnancy scare.
