Starting Friday, December 12th, I’ll be starting my first 12 Days of Christmas features. I’ll be featuring 12 different blogs with full articles on the blogs, authors, and owners. I’m writing this entry to let you (yes you, the beloved reader) know that you can nominate a site to be featured. Yes there are a few rules so let’s be simplistic and let you know.

1. You do not have to own a site to nominate another site. You can simply be a reader.
2. All sites nominated must be at least 3 months old. 
3. Sites must be design related or personal blogs. Design meaning (fashion design, interior design, web design and most importantly, graphic design.)
4. You may not nominate yourself.
5. Nominating a site does not mean it’ll automatically be featured. You’re simply giving a suggestion. The more nominations a site has, the possiblity of it being featured becomes greater.

Pretty simple? So go head on over to the contact page and nominate your favorite blog. Make sure you put the subject as “12 Days of Christmas”.  Good luck!

It took me two years, but I finally have paid hosting. From this day on, I won’t have to worry about stupid unexpected downtime. I don’t have to worry about forum posting.  I don’t have to ask for stuff. I have everything I want with my $24 a year hosting plan. The site is still in the process of changing. There’s a lot of things that have been taken down: PSDs, tutorials, pre-made css-based layouts, Myspace layouts, quote banners. Most of the things that I don’t need. I wasn’t going to waste all of my space hosting things that I no longer planned on updating. They weren’t that much of a help anyway. I will continue to make free WordPress themes, textures, patterns, wallpapers, brushes, and my color palettes on COLOURlovers.  I have 537 palettes and 617 patterns on there. Okay, so colors are srs bzn to me. 

This site is about to become less “omg I’m 18 and I have a blog and I’m going to talk about stuff that bugs me and get plenty of interweb friends. ilu all hehe.” and more inspiration/resources/and article posting. I still have a big mouth l but I want to cater towards design. I am a graphic/web/interior designer. I would love to start posting some interior design stuff here. It’s very inspirational to graphic design as well. I want to post interviews from other designers, articles and reviews from different WordPress-related things, and just be busy. David is officially paying for all of this site now so I’m going to put it to use. I’ll probably update once a day. December is VERY inspiring so I hope to share a lot with others. If you haven’t already, you may want to subscribe to the RSS feed. 

I am no longer accepting affiliates. It’s kind of lame. Blogrolls are kinda 2005. It’s almost 2009. I don’t need to fill out a form for you to put my link up. Instead, let me inspire your arse until your body can’t handle the creativity and you put my link up all over the site. Plus, I hate 88×31 buttons. I hated going to people’s sites that I obviously could care less about, reading about their school life (because they’re special hardcore!), and be all fake. OMG ilu, ur layout is kewl, even though I can’t read it in more than one browser. Yeah, if a site inspires me, I’ll put it on my sidebar. Otherwise, I’m not very interesting in link-begging. I’ll still return comments to everyone who visits but posts will be more frequent so I’m not expecting 45-50 comments per post. I never was really but you understand!

I think this post is just an update to let you know what’s going on. Gratitude will be back in beginning-mid January. I decided to change it around a bit. It didn’t “flop” per-say but since the host died, it took Gratitude with it. I’m going to work on some serious designing and get it back up. I will be doing a 12-days of Christmas but there shall be a post about that later on today. I hope you guys aren’t super pissed at me (as if I care. ILY!). Good things are happening. Happy Monday!

I am on a roll! This is one of the two themes I’m going to create for November. I’m so excited about designing. I’m doing a theme for another site. I guess I can plug in a preview. You can click on it for Lightbox goodness. I also did 2 other themes for this site but I scratched theme because I hated them. I decided to use a color palette I made on ColourLovers. I wanted a more creative DIY feel but something dark enough for fall. I haven’t had a dark layout in forever. It’s right up my alley. In case you want to use the palette, here’s the link. Yeah it’s named Boxers. I need new smilies, anybody know where to get some cute ones that will match everything? Oh and if you love me, just click to participate in the poll. Also, a note, if you’re using my WP themes, leave the credit on it. It’s really easy to find you.

I actually started this blog pre-election results but I am VERY happy with the decision the country made. I did vote for the first time in my life. I am saddened that many are reverting to racism and foolish rants. Even before Barack Obama won, I was happy that so many people voted! Every vote did count no matter what and I’m very proud of us. However, that’s the end of politics on my blog for now. I’ll talk about it more on Livejournal later in the week.

It seems like lately the pressure to date and be sexual at young ages has increased. Of course many girls go through their school-age years dreaming of their “their perfect relationship” or whatever. I don’t know. When I was in elementary school, yeah I had crushes but I just thought it stopped there. It’s beyond getting a boy to “like you” in today’s society. By the age of 14, a lot of girls have engaged in some type of sexual act with a boy just to be accepted relationship wise.  A lot of boys won’t date a girl without receiving some type of sexual favor first. I’ve heard this come out of my sister’s mouth (she’s 14) and it blows me away.

First of all, parents where are you? If people would start teaching their kids properly about sex and respect, a lot of problems cold be solved.

Secondly, a lot of these kids have great parents and do what they want to do anyway. No guy or girl loves you if they can’t respect your body first. You come first, always.

Third, media does not equal real life. Reality shows are rarely real. Please don’t follow them.

Fourth, what is this issue about dating so young? Why do people have age stamps on things that must be done. Never being kissed at seventeen does not make you lame. Being a virgin in college is not a problem. Who can tell you differently? Nobody. They aren’t living in your body. Take your time and do things when you’re ready.

I can go on and on but it won’t change a thing. Everyone has to make up their own mind about things. Just think before you act.

Thank you for all of the well wishes. My cold is officially gone. However, I feel bad. I’m somewhat sad that this month is over and on the other end, I’m happy to bring in a new theme. I’ll bring back the theme I had in September as well in case people feel like theme-switching. I knew I said I wouldn’t be doing that anymore but what can I say? I lied. I also said I wasn’t hosting anymore but I already have a new hostee, Nigel. He’s a sweetheart so go spam his site with love. I’m still accepting/rejecting applications so feel free to apply if you’re willing to give it a try. I also have been uploading some random photography/crazy mess on my Flickr, in case you’re the stalker type. I’ll probably have the Flickr photostream plugged somewhere in the next theme.  I’m not really a huge fan of Halloween but at the same time I’m a naturally festive person. I really enjoy horror movies and it just so happens that Halloween puts most of my favorites on TV. There’s also a ton of other fun Halloween movies that I like so I decided to come up with a list. Feel free to do the same (Long list so feel free to just read the titles and comment)
