I know I come across a lot of blogs but Get Togetha is truly one that makes me feel right at home. A hip, unique, modern and definitely chic decor blog, Get Togetha shares ideas not only one the home but on the lifestyles of the women at home as well. Founded by the beautiful Melinda Lewis, who also likes to be called GT, Get Togetha gives you that “at home” feel while sharing some of the best ways to improve the look of your living space. I’ve added it to my feed reader and haven’t looked back since.

Did I mention I was in love with the name as well?

Proposal on the Beach

I was browsing one of my favorite wedding blogs when I discovered an amazing beach proposal shot by photographer Tyler Branch. I have to say these are amazing photos. If only I could get proposed to again (just kidding of course.)

Little Pieces of Home

I’m not a happy homeowner yet, but I’m totally digging planning out my own little slice of heaven. You can never get enough interior design inspiration. It’s always those little things that make a house your own home. Here’s a few of the little pieces of home that create a great space. Enjoy!

I love the rich floor, textured walls, and subtle lighting in the hallway. The elements combined create an amazing space, especially with the adorable family photos up top. It’s the little things that bring warmth to even a muted space.

Bloggers Day of Action for Haiti

Jeanine of Aphro Chic organized Bloggers Day of Action for Haiti today and I decided to participate. On Jan. 12, 2010 at 5:14 p.m. EST, a magnitude 7.0 earthquake hit the country of Haiti. Haiti, according to 2008 UN estimates, has a population of about 9.8 million. The devastation of the earthquake that hit the country, a part of Hispanola along with the Dominican Republic, has ruptured the lives of the Haitian people.

I’m writing this post to tell you that you can make a difference. Musician Wyclef Jean’s foundation, Yele, an organization to help poverty and to uplift his origin country of Haiti is now putting together a donation program to provide relief through this great disaster. There are plenty of ways to donate. One of the most popular right now is the text to donate program set up by the Red Cross. You can text “HAITI” to 90999 to donate $10 to Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti. Please understand that this disaster has tormented an entire nation and has taken the lives, homes, and security of thousands. Here’s a list of resources were you can help. I know many of you are bloggers, just take some time out to blog for Haiti. Spread awareness and show that you care.
